What's On!

Rockfield Choir meets every Thursday after school from 3.30-4.30pm in the Music Room. Choir costs 50p each week which helps cover the cost of music, uniform and events. Choir will start again on Thursday 27 October and will run every week.

With lots of new members, the choir will be all set for another year of fun and music-making! Forthcoming engagements include taking part in Oban Winter Festival, performances at the Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival, Oban Mòd, next year's National Mòd in Fort William and other community events.

Watch this space for recordings and copies of the words of this year's songs.

Music Festival Success!

Rockfield School Choir won a well-deserved second prize at the Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival in May.  The choir sang a beautiful two-part arrangement of 'We Are The Young' followed by 'The Wee Kirkcudbright Centipede'.   They worked really hard to sing in two parts - well done everyone!

Rockfield Choir Burns Day Performance!

The choir entertained the residents of Eadar Glinn Residential Care Home in January, and performed a selection of Scottish songs, including a couple to mark Robert Burns Day.   The children did really well!

The words of some of the songs we sang recently are provided below - have a sing-song at home with your family!

2015 National Mòd Success!

Rockfield School Choir won two third prizes at the National Mòd in October 2015 in Oban! The choir faced very strong competition from other choirs from across Scotland, and sang really well! Well done to everyone who worked so hard to learn their words and who attended all the practices with Mrs Garvin and Mrs McClure before the big day!
